San Jose Lodging (down): Hotel Aranjuez
We're staying one night in San Jose at Hotel Aranjuez. Let us know what time you are arriving at the airport, so that we can meet you or help you get a shuttle to the hotel. Please schedule your flight early enough to check in by 6:00 pm. Once checked in, we will have a welcome dinner at Nuestra Tierra.
About Hotel Aranjuez: It's a comfy local place, near the bus station. We reserved a block of rooms for the 16th and the 21st. They have great rooms and rates and are very well rated by Frommers and TripAdvisor. If, however, you would be more comfortable at a large chain, let us know, and we will do whatever we can to accomodate your wishes.
San Jose Lodging (return): Adventure Inn
After the wedding, you will return to San Jose for your flights home. For your return trip, we have booked a block of rooms at Adventure Inn. They have some great amenities, including a shuttle to the hotel, so check out their site.
Punta Uva Lodging: Casa Viva
The ceremony and reception will take place at Casa Viva. We currently have 5 houses reserved there for the wedding party and family. They have a total of 10 houses available, but book early. We can check availability if you're interested.
Nearby Options
In the event that Casa Viva is full, there are two BEAUTIFUL places practically next door.
- Cabinas Punta Uva - $40 doubles, gorgeous property, great owners, call 011-506-750-0431
- Cabinas Selvin's - owned by a well-known local; no contact info; hope you know a local ;)
High-End Options
If our wedding isn't the only reason you're there, you want a little more privacy (and luxury).
Here are some excellent suggestions from Kia's bookmarks:
- Azania Bungalows - A little farther north
- Samasati Retreat Center - Holistic retreat center with yoga
- TreeHouse Lodge - Cute lodging built INTO trees
- Hotel Kasha - Nearby, all-inclusive lodging
- Almonds and Corals - Nice hotel in a wildlife refuge
